Thau Lagoon

Listed as a Natura 2000 site, the lake of Thau covers more than 7 500 ha, housing a biodiversity that is ten times greater than other lagoons in the region. To do: the museum of the Thau Lagoon, to learn more about fishing, oyster and mussel farming!

 

Agde

Walk around the picturesque streets edged with boutiques, workshops and houses of black volcano stone. Discover the remains of the ramparts of this former Greek town, founded by the Phocaeans and listed as a historical monument today.

 

Sète, the Venice of the Languedoc

This charming marine town is located by the sea, and attracted famous artists like Paul Valéry and Georges Brassens… To see, to do: walking on the quays and taste the local gastronomy, visit the market and fill your basket with fish and seafood, or specialties brought to Sète by the Italians who settled here.
